Fr. Brown Memorial

On Saturday, September 11 at the 5:00pm Mass, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Fr. Brown. Since his Funeral Mass was restricted due to COVID, this will be the first opportunity for a large gathering of parishioners, Fr. Brown’s Navy Chaplain Confreres, priest friends, friends to attend and participate. The occasion will observe the one-year anniversary of his death and the Parish will host a reception after the Mass.

On that same day at 11:00am, Fr. Brown will be honored as an Honorary Founding Partner of the Tri-County First Responders Honor Park in Gang Mills at the 9/11/2021 Patriot Day Ceremony.

We will be dedicating the Walkway around the “The Lifesaver Statue” as a permanent memorial
to Father Lew. This memorial will be marked as such with a bronze plaque. The horseshoe walkway surrounds the statue of a firefighter rescuing a child from a burning building.

This event is open to the public as well. This is a very appropriate weekend to gather for Fr. Brown. The events will observe his civic dedication to our country as well as an opportunity for all Parishioners to gather and pray for the repose of his soul.

The First Responder Honor Park is located in Gang Mills at the corner of Hamilton Street and Forest Drive immediately off Exit 11 of Interstate I-99.

For those persons using GPS directions the
