We are very pleased to announce that there will be an opportunity to venerate first class relics of St. Padre Pio April 24-26 here at St. Mary’s Church in Corning. The relics are from the St. Pio Foundation in Tuckahoe, NY and will be on display at St. Mary’s for special veneration during the following times:
- Sun.- April 24, 3:00-4:00 p.m.
- Mon. -April 25, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
- Tue. – April 26, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
For those who may not know, St. Padre Pio was a Capuchin, friar, priest, stigmatist, and mystic, from San Giovanni Rotundo, Italy, and is known for his most powerful intercession in all areas of life. St. Pio lived from 1887-1968 and was declared venerable in 1997, beatified in 1999 and officially canonized on June 16, 2002.
